Hi, I was at Westcliff High School For Boys with Graham (not Southend High ) I think we we both belonged to a 6th form literary society where we attempted to write poetry. I don't think any of us were any good except for Graham who drew praise from the English teacher in charge for a line which described his girl friend's breasts as looking or possibly tasting like 'Sherbert Lemons.' I remember being quite jealous of the praise an d possibly of Graham sucking the sherbert lemons. Only ever saw him once after we'd left school, bumped into him in a pub called The Washington nr Swiss Cottage. RIP

Graham Ball: raconteur, enthusiast, and one who grasped all that life had to offer, and more. He was in our lives for nearly half a century and will always remain a thread woven into our fabric. Sorry we cannot be there to wave you off, Graham

I met Graham several times at parties at Esther and Ric's (my brother). Graham always greeted me warmly and often with a joke - something which made me feel acknowledged & good. I wish I could remember some of the jokes. What I do remember though is how his face lit up with a radiant smile when he saw you were amused. Sending much love to Tessa, Rebecca, Oscar and Thomas. XOX.
